It’s fall in New York City and just as the chill begins to enter the air, it seems there are weddings everywhere. In the past 24 hours I have already been to 3 Central Park weddings. Two last night when I went running and one this afternoon. All three wedding parties had different wedding colors. One bridal party wore lilac, another navy and another tangerine orange.
If you get married in New York City’s Central Park you are guaranteed to have uninvited guests – but in a good way. After all, Central Park might be one of the happiest and busiest places in NY.
If you tie the knot at the gazebo-esque Ladies Pavillion on the west side of the lake, like the couple that married this afternoon, you will most certainly have kids and tourists scattered about. And when you are done with your wedding ceremony if you happen to exit and walk past the hill on a day when that guitar man is playing, you might unexpectedly find yourself having your first wedding dance together in front of a hill full of strangers and a lake full of boaters as David Ippolito serenades you with the Elvis classic, “Can’t Help Falling in Love with You”.
